Hedgehog Fun!

Hedgehog Garden Exercise

Here are some fun resources for you to download and help your children plan their own wildlife garden. These are used in local schools to help engage the children as regards gardening for wildlife.

The pack includes (for printing) : a garden plan; wildlife features; decorative garden furniture (good and bad for wildlife); children's play equipment; some garden hazards; some local wildlife and pets; some very cute hedgehogs and hedgehog corridor signs. The garden plan depicts a birds eye view of a very basic garden including grass, hard standing, some bedding borders and a fence all the way round.

The idea is that the children can cut out the features and design their own garden. They could either (a) design the best garden for wildlife ever; or, (b) the worst garden for wildlife ever. Either way, it shows a learning and understanding of their actions.

Do share any plans you and yours create on our facebook page. It would be great to see your ideas!
